Itani Ramen opened in 2016 and was inspired by Kyle’s extensive travels and a brief residence in Japan. Known as a place where all are welcome, this “izakaya for everyone” offers homemade gyoza, donburi bowls, cocktails, and plenty of ramen.

Itani Ramen is a place where all are welcome. With no reservations required, regulars pop in for a quick bowl at lunch or a last minute date night. Located across the street from the iconic Fox Theater and walking distance from the Paramount, Itani Ramen is a go-to spot for pre-show dinner and drinks.
Open All Day
A meal at Itani Ramen is not complete without our housemade gyoza. Guests have the choice between pork filling or veggie filling, and yaki or sloppy style. Yaki gyoza are griddle and steamed then topped with green onion. Sloppy style are deep fried then topped with soy, aioli, bonito flakes, green onions, and pickled ginger.

Itani Ramen is the ideal spot for a fun and reasonably priced large party in Oakland. Our private dining room, the Genki Room, can host up to 35 guests. The perfect space for birthday parties, graduation parties, and holiday parties.

A favorite for office lunches and themed dinner parties! Our DIY Ramen Bar allows hosts to select their proteins and broths, then guests can customize their bowls. Available for pickup or delivery, with optional full service set up. Gluten free noodles & broth available, as well as vegetarian options.

We do our best to accommodate all dietary restrictions and have a gluten friendly menu available daily. Guests are pleased to learn we have gluten free noodles and a gluten free shio ramen broth. Another favorite is our Salmon 3 Way Donburi Rice bowl, pictured above.
Gluten Friendly
To beat the heat, every summer we bring back this special chilled ramen bowl. After the chilled noodles are tossed in a soy dressing they are topped with crab, avocado, cucumber, green onion, tobiko, sesame and wasabi on the side.
